The first motif in the MOOD series represents anger.
We live in a war-torn, increasingly divided, polarized, and greedy world that seems to be dominated by anger. A world in which we seek enemies upon whom we can vent our frustration and aggression. Yet this emotion is prophetic. When it dominates us, it enables us to break the vicious cycle, for it gives us the power to respond to injustice and injustice with strength, courage, and pride.
There are no good or bad emotions. Anger becomes a destructive, blind, rebellious, and selfish force when it loses sight of reason and humanity.
On this silver bar motif, the figures depicted symbolize the two faces of anger: the dragon—the impetuous, wrathful, and ruthless side—and the impassive and apathetic woman who manages to control it by fearlessly confronting threats and fiery tongues. Engraved around them are the Platonic solids, cosmic figures that also refer to the four elements of fire, earth, air, and water, with their corresponding emotions. They represent harmony and the need for balance.
