2024 Artefacts: Gjallarhorn 2 oz Silver BU UHR – the legendary horn of Heimdall is a key symbol in Germanic mythology. As the vigilant guardian of the rainbow bridge Bifrost, Heimdall protected Asgard from dangers with his superhuman sight and hearing. When Ragnarök arrives, Heimdall will blow Gjallarhorn, and its powerful sound will resonate across all nine worlds. This mystical sound will be the signal for the gods that the final battle against the forces of chaos is approaching, heralding the end of the known world.

The coin depicts key stories related to Ragnarök, the mythical end of the world. The obverse features the arrow that contributed to Baldur’s death, along with the ship that Loki sailed to Yggdrasil to engage in the final battle with the gods. The imagery also shows brave warriors sent by Odin fighting against a monster.

On the reverse of the coin, you can see Sköll and Hati devouring the Sun and the Moon, as well as the epic battle between Odin and Fenrir, which ends with the tragic death of the god. Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir, is also depicted, wrapped in the body of the serpent Jormungand.

Selected elements of the coin have been ennobled with gold, allowing for even greater detail in the design.

Designed by Mateusz Frąckowiak, this coin is issued in a limited edition of 500 pieces and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is presented in a lens capsule and housed in a Wooden box with engraving.
